Inflation-increase in prices and fall in the purchasing value of money

Diocletian- Roman emperor 284–305; full name Gaius Aurelius Valerius Diocletianus. Faced with mounting military problems, in 286 he divided the empire between himself in the east and Maximian in the west. He launched the final persecution of the Christians 303.
Constantiinople-the former name of Istanbul from ad 330 (when it was given its name by Constantine the Great) until the early 20th century.
Attila-king of the Huns 434–453. He ravaged vast areas between the Rhine and the Caspian Sea before being defeated by the joint forces of the Roman army and the Visigoths at Chalon's in 451.
3. Western Empire later separated from the wealthiest Eastern part and they also had trouble with outside invasions.
